Sunday School begins at 9:30am. There are 2 adult classes, 1 elementary class and 1 youth (JR & High School) class.
The elementary and youth classes meet in the Activity Center. They usually have snacks before they get started. The adult classes meet in the main building.
Our elementary class follows a rotation model. Kids learn important Bible stories through repetition and lessons designed to engage all their senses.
Our youth class takes on the important issues of faith. They use activities to help them form the way they think about God and their faith. It's important talk. It's engaging. And it's fun!
Our first adult class uses the New International Lesson Annual as its primary resource. The conversations center around a theme related to a particular passage from scripture each week.
Class members take time to read the commentary provided and use it as a springboard for their own conversation. Group members share their own ideas, observations and questions.
You'll notice there'll be no leader book. While there is a leader of the class, everyone takes part.
This class meets in the room across from our pastor's office.
Our second class involves open dialogue as well. This class uses current events, online articles and other resources to highlight particular biblical themes. Topics include discipleship, church ministry, worship and justice issues.
The class is led by our pastor, and always includes a time of prayer. This class meets in our conference room.
